Oregon Governor John Kitzhaber will have a good seat for tonight's State of the Union address. The Democrat has been invited to sit with First Lady Michelle Obama in the "First Lady's Box." Kitzhaber is one of two dozen invited guests, and the only from the Pacific Northwest. The governor is being recognized for his efforts to streamline healthcare delivery.
Other guests include a wounded soldier, a school teacher, two CEO's, and a micro-brewery owner. It appears that Michelle Obama will be the only "First Lady" in the crowd, though. Kitzhaber's office says Oregon First Lady Cylvia Hayes will not be joining the governor.
