Antonio Zambrano-Montes' parents, Agapita Montes-Rivera and Jesus Fernando-Zambrano stood with thier lawyers during a Tuesday press conference after watching videos of thier son being shot by Pasco police.

After watching newly disclosed videos of their son’s death, the parents of Antonio Zambrano-Montes, the Pasco, Washington, man shot by police in February, appeared in deep grief.

Agapita Montes-Rivera, Jesus Fernando-Zambrano and their attorneys held a press conference after the Franklin County Prosecutor released videos and 1,700 pages of documents to them in the Pasco shooting case Tuesday.

Zambrano-Montes’ parents stood silently as their attorneys discussed what they had just witnessed, graphic videos of their son’s death. Montes-Rivera is 49. She carried a white washrag and dabbed her eyes and face. When she spoke she said she hoped justice can happen quickly.

“But at the same time if it takes a long time we understand, we just want justice to be done,” Montes-Rivera said through an interpreter

The parents’ attorneys say they will decide how much money to ask of the city of Pasco in the coming weeks. They also criticized the investigation because police officers involved were interviewed several weeks after the shooting.

Zambrano-Montes was shot in a crowded intersection in early February as he ran from police officers. The Franklin County Prosecutor’s office says it will release some documents and video from the investigation to the public Wednesday.
