Backers of a 2012 crowdfunding project say they have finally recieved the playing cards they were promised.

Backers of a crowdfunding project from 2012 say they’re suddenly receiving the product they were promised.

The development comes the same week that Washington Attorney General Bob Ferguson announced a judgment against the sponsor of the campaign -- for failing to deliver.

The private comment thread on the Kickstarter page for the “Asylum Playing Cards” project tells the story. “I’m shocked … but my 2 decks came today,” one backer wrote.

Another wrote, “Thanks for coming through, Ed.”

Ed is Ed Nash of Nashville, whose company sponsored the Kickstarter campaign nearly three years ago. In an email, a spokeswoman for Ferguson said the fact Nash is now suddenly fulfilling orders doesn’t change the judgment against him. But she added that if Nash decides to contact the Attorney General’s office, it would “hear him out.”

Nash did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
