Excitement is building for Sunday’s big playoff game between the Seattle Seahawks and the San Francisco 49ers.
In Olympia Friday, enthusiasm from lawmakers raised an unusual question about the dress code on the legislative floor.
“Since our requirement is to wear business attire here, I wanted to ask if wearing a twelfth man jersey or other Seahawk garments on the floor would fall within the rules of the house of having appropriate business attire on Fridays during the NFL football season,” said Representative Jeff Morris, who wore a Seahawks jersey under his suit.
After conferring with the House attorney, Speaker Jim Moeller, agreed Seahawks gear would be appropriate on what’s become known as Blue Friday each week leading up to the Superbowl.
